Through the Women in Pizza, Beer and Spirits 2020 celebration, specially-designed pizzas pay tribute to local women who have been pioneers in the local food and beverage scene. Pizzeria Paradiso collaborated with these entrepreneurs to create special pizzas, including a Spring Pea-Za by Leah Cheston, Right Proper owner and director of operations. The pizza chain created beer and cocktail pairing recommendations for these pies to be enjoyed all month long.

Bronson Bierhall is readying a soft opening Thursday, August 29 in Arlington, Va. The Ballston beer hall, operated by Chef Mike Cordero and MacNac Hospitality, will replace the former A-Town Bar and Grill. A media event, held on Tuesday, March 20, gave an opportunity to journalists and bloggers to have a preview of the Ballston neighborhood’s new beer hall. Lamb, beef and chicken sliders, sausages and other light bites provided a glimpse into the light fare and extensive beer menu that will soon be available.
