An expanding menu at the Arlington, Va.-based eatery will include whole smoke ducks and smoked legs of lamb. Of course, being the National Turkey Federation Turkey Smoke Grand Champions that they are, the the Smokecraft team will also offer their award-winning whole smoked turkey.

The chef and owner of Brookland’s Finest is coming out of the kitchen to root for the Kansas City Chiefs as they face off against the San Francisco 49ers February 2. But first, Shannan Troncoso will prepare a feast. Born and raised in Kansas City, Mo., she plans an all-day celebration. This menu scores big with Kansas City-style brisket, smoked wings, baked beans, and cole slaw. Brookland’s Finest will offer the special Kansas City BBQ menu in the dining room and bar on Super Bowl Sunday only.

The Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show is returning to Washington, D.C. December 1-2 in full form. Emeril Lagasse will headline the show, flanked by TV Host Carla Hall in encore appearances. MetroCooking DC welcomes Emmy-winning Chef Lidia Bastianich. Hall co-hosted “The Chew” on the ABC TV network, which saw its seventh season this year, and Bastianich is a celebrated chef.
