Tacombi opened its taqueria in Bethesda, Md. today, May 24 at 4749 Bethesda Avenue. The restaurant chain that aims to connect people to Mexico through its food and beverage, continues to expand. It operates more than a dozen locations across New York, Miami and the Greater Washington, DC area.
dLeña by Chef Richard Sandoval will celebrate the Earth and bees with its Viva Abejas campaign starting March 22. The Mount Vernon Triangle Mexican restaurant in DC will put the importance of bees in the spotlight as it elevates the earth’s harvest through food and drink.
Pink Taco will make its Washington, DC debut in the Navy Yard neighborhood, just two blocks from Nats Park. In addition, the restaurant will open steps from The Yards, a 48-acre mixed-used development, replete with shopping, dining and residential living options.

Good Eats Emporium has launched a ghost kitchen at Ozzie’s Good Eats, expanding virtual and physical restaurant brands from Great American Restaurants (GAR), its parent. As a result, Best Buns, Stupid Good BBQ, Taqueria Loca, and Good Eats Burgers & Wings have landed in Fairfax Corner, Va.
Chef Mike Cordero opened the second Taco Rock in Alexandria today at Pinecrest Plaza. The fast-casual taqueria and tequila bar becomes Taco Rock 2, expanding the concept beyond the original location in Rosslyn. The 75-seat restaurant boasts another 20 barstools at the tequila bar, an outdoor patio with large garage door front windows, opening up to 48 seats for al-fresco dining.
According to MacNac Hospitality Group, all of its restaurants are open for dine-in and outdoor service, as well as takeout. Restaurants, including BarleyMac, Bronson Bierhall, and G.O.A.T are serving it up and dishing it out. Chef Mike Cordero’s Rockwood Sports Bar at Virginia Gateway, Taco Rock and Bronx Pizza have also reopened.
