Oyster and Beer festival returns in October
Nick’s Riverside Grill is featuring Detroit-style pizzas. Detroit-style pies have been trending, a perfect comfort food for the start of fall. At its sister, Fish and Fire Food Group concept, Tony & Joe’s, the 2021 Shuck it! Oyster & Beer Festival of Georgetown will take place in October, with some COVID precautions in place, for added safety and comfort.
Brazil, Illinois, New Jersey brews featured during August
Pizzeria Paradiso is helping customers battle the heat with cold brews and chill events during the month of August. First, its Dupont Circle location will offer a special “Out of Market” beer each Wednesday of the month. Then, Pizzeria Paradiso locations will be featuring a special August Means Tomatoes specialty pizza.
There’s still time to catch a pizza and craft IPA beer during the 2021 JulyPA at Pizzeria Paradiso. Running through Sunday, July 11, the annual, tap-takeover event will feature a plentiful selection of IPA drafts and cans at all Pizzeria Paradiso locations.
Event returns to all Paradiso locations in March
For Women’s History Month, Pizzeria Paradiso celebrates and recognizes women with four limited-release pizzas. Through the Women in Pizza, Beer and Spirits 2020 celebration, specially-designed pizzas pay tribute to local women who have been pioneers in the local food and beverage scene. Pizzeria Paradiso collaborated with these entrepreneurs to create special pizzas, including a Spring Pea-Za by Leah Cheston, Right Proper owner and director of operations. The pizza chain created beer and cocktail pairing recommendations for these pies to be enjoyed all month long.

Savor: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience returns to Washington, D.C. May 15. The Anthem at the District Wharf will host the event this year from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The $60M music venue, with a flexible format, can accommodate up to 6,000.
Craft beer event postponed due to Covid-19 concerns in DMV
Washington, D.C. ‘s Hopfest 2020 Brewing event at DC Brau Brewing Company is just around the corner. DC Brau planned to host the popular brewing event March 14 at its brewery on Bladensberg Road, but has now postponed the event and an announcement will be made later this spring. The event is designed to benefit local breweries via the DC Brewers’ Guild. General admission tickets for $50 go on sale February 1. Hopefest 2020 early bird tickets offer a 10 percent discount on the general admission price and are discontinued after January 31.

Over 40 vendors there to help DMV think local first
DC Brau has partnered with Think Local First DC for a special Small Business Saturday holiday bazaar. The brewery will host the its DC Brau Holiday Market Saturday, November 30, 1 p.m to 5 p.m. Over 40 local, small businesses will offer items, including jewelry, home decor, packaged goods and all things in between.
