Local restaurants will offer this year’s special cocktail pairings for indoor and outdoor dining, and also for pickup, delivery, and at select bars and eateries, curbside pickup. More than 75 restaurants and bars have signed up to participate this year.

A new, welcoming and inclusive cocktail bar.Jane Jane, will open at Liz on 14th Street in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington in the fall. Three hospitality veterans, Jean Paul (J.P.) Sabatier, Ralph Brabham and Drew Porterfield, who are also friends, are set to debut a 30-seat cocktail bar in the historic building that houses the mixed-use development. Identifying as LGBTQ, the owners are comfortable with Liz as the perfect spot for this soon-to-be friendly and inviting neighborhood hangout. Sabatier, a Zagat “30 under 30,” is set to helm the bar and manage the cocktail program.

Jack Daniel Distillery launched a new line of spirit-based cocktails in a can. Jack & Seltzer; Jack & Cola; and Jack, Honey & Lemonade make up the new Jack Daniel’s Canned Cocktails line, which is becoming available this summer. The cocktails are premixed with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey.These light, adult refreshments are low ABV with Jack & Cola and Jack, Honey & Lemonade coming in at 7 percent and Jack & Seltzer at 5 percent.
