Events DC announced the International City Food Festival, which will bring three days of celebration of global food, culture and drink to Washington, DC. After all, Washington, with its Embassy Row and significant worldly gatherings, including the United Nations General Assembly and annual International Monetary Fund meetings, is a cross-cultural milieu. International City will take place October 13 to 15.

A second location of Astro Beer Hall will open at the Village at Shirlington in late summer 2022. The venue comes from Elliot Spaisman and Jeff Halpern of Astro Doughnuts fame, partnering with Geoff Dawson and Peter Bayne of Tin Shop. A well-known restaurant group, Tin Shop develops bars and restaurants.

Self-pour Taphouse Tap99, located just across the main gates of Nationals Park in Navy Yard, has opened. The Washington, DC opening brings to life the concept that owner Jason Cherry, who is a serial entrepreneur and former race car driver, envisioned. Across 2,800 square feet of space, customers will be able to enjoy self-pour tap beer, wine, ciders and premixed cocktails.
