Chef Mike Cordero will open a third location of its fast-casual Taco Rock taqueria and tequila bar concept at Birch & Broad shopping center this fall. The Falls Church Taco Rock will span 2,815 square feet and be fashioned similar to the existing restaurants in Rosslyn and Alexandria in Virginia.
Newest Taco Rock features expansive restaurant, bar, outdoor space
Chef Mike Cordero opened the second Taco Rock in Alexandria today at Pinecrest Plaza. The fast-casual taqueria and tequila bar becomes Taco Rock 2, expanding the concept beyond the original location in Rosslyn. The 75-seat restaurant boasts another 20 barstools at the tequila bar, an outdoor patio with large garage door front windows, opening up to 48 seats for al-fresco dining.
Pinecrest Plaza is next destination of hip taqueria + tequila bar
Taco Rock by Chef Mike Cordero will add a second location in early December, opening at the Pinecrest Plaza shopping center in Alexandria. Once home of a 2,500 square-foot retail shop, the space has been redesigned as Taco Rock-Alexandria, the new outpost of the popular taqueria and tequila bar.
In Rosslyn, Taco Rock delivers on taste, creativity, affordability
Taco Rock is a recently-opened fast-casual concept from Mike Cordero, it’s chef and president. He is also president of MacNac Hospitality, a restaurant group operating the likes of Bronson Bier Hall and Barley Mac in Arlington, Va. The look and feel of Taco Rock in Rosslyn is crafted by designer Yvette Irene, who features a giant guitar “jutting out of the ceiling” inside the 2,467-square-foot restaurant and bar space.
Edgy eatery to serve breakfast, lunch, dinner
Taco Rock opened today in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington, Va. The 2,407 restaurant’s opening had been delayed, initially thought to be opening during the summer. The restaurant is located at 1501 Wilson Boulevard. As we reported earlier this year, this is the first fast-casual concept for Chef Mike Cordero, who is also president of Macnac Hospitality, the operator of several restaurants in Northern Virginia.
Much-anticipated fast casual opening this fall, says publicist
Taco Rock by Chef Mike Cordero, which is operated as a family affair with sons Nick and Anthony, is slated to open this fall in Rosslyn. The taco and tequila hangout will operate all day, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Rosslyn district of Arlington, Va. has seen an increased amount of developer, retail and restaurant interest in the past few years. One of the modern landmarks in Rosslyn is Central Place, with its Residences in a high-rise facing north and CEB Tower to the south. These two new buildings opened in 2017.
