MacNac’s German beer hall to become fun, experiential gathering place

Bronson Bierhall is readying a soft opening Thursday, August 29 in Arlington, Va. The Ballston beer hall, operated by Chef Mike Cordero and MacNac Hospitality, will replace the former A-Town Bar and Grill. A media event, held on Tuesday, March 20, gave an opportunity to journalists and bloggers to have a preview of the Ballston neighborhood’s new beer hall. Lamb, beef and chicken sliders, sausages and other light bites provided a glimpse into the light fare and extensive beer menu that will soon be available.

Chef Mike Cordero is bringing a hip, Mexican street taco eatery to Arlington’s Rosslyn, Va. district. Taco Rock, at 1501 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, Va., is a fast-casual concept he is running with sons Nick and Anthony. Sure to be a local hangout, Taco Rock in Rosslyn will debut in September. The senior Cordero has partnered in, or founded, taco concepts, previously, in Northern Virginia, including Don Taco in Old Town, Alexandria and Don Tito in Arlington, as well as Malibu Grill in Columbia, Md.

MacNac Hospitality, a group led by Mike Cordero, its president, announced the revamping and remodeling of A-Town Bar & Grill. The nightlife destination in the Ballston neighborhood of Arlington, Va. will become Bronson, an German-style beer hall that will span 6,000 square feet. MacNac’s Bronson will offer American and German fare, craft beer served in growlers, games and live music.
