Swizzle Chill TV had the pleasure of covering the 2019 RAMMY Award Ceremony and Gala at the Walter E. Convention Center. All the Washington, D.C. restaurant industry greats were gathered to pay tribute to the collective of owners, chefs, artisans and stakeholders in the local food scene. The event is organized by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington, a restaurant advocacy group, and Events D.C., the entertainment and sports authority of the nation’s capital.

Awardees of 2019 RAMMYS reflect cross-section of achievement, backgrounds

The biggest restaurant awards in Washington, D.C. is the RAMMYS, an extravagant ceremony and gala presented by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) and Events DC. Sunday, several of the local restaurant industry’s best gathered at the Walter E. Convention Center to be recognized for their accomplishments. Leading up to the event, top restaurants, industry professionals, entrepreneurs, chefs, and artisans were nominated for the RAMMY Awards in 20 different award categories.

As The RAMMYS 2019 approaches, longstanding DMV restaurants recognized

The Restaurant Association of Metropolitan (RAMW), a restaurant advocacy group in Washington, D.C., announced the 2019 Honorary Milestone RAMMY Award recipients. The Bombay Club, i Ricchi, Moby Dick House of Kabob, Silver Diner, and Taberna del Alabardero will receive the award for 30 years of service in the Greater D.C. Region. Lebanese Taverna will receive recognition for 40 years of business in the DMV. The RAMMY Awards recognize the best of the best in the D.C. restaurant scene, and will be awarded June 30.

The Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), a top restaurant advocacy group in Washington, D.C., announced the 2019 Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award winner. Restaurateur Virginia Ali, owner and co- founder of Ben’s Chili Bowl, is being recognized with the Duke Zeibert Award, and will receive a tribute at a RAMW reception Monday, April 29. Each year, the RAMW Executive Committee honors individuals whose hard work has elevated the profile of D.C.’s foodservice community and dining scene.
