Fainting Goat launches new date-night happy hour, Goat Unplugged concerts

Tinder Tuesdays can fire up one’s love life on a budget

U Street’s Fainting Goat launched “Tinder Tuesdays” date night happy hour and “Goat Unplugged” concerts on Thursdays. The new line of programming, heating up summer nights, will be added to the tavern’s current Trivia Nights every Wednesday, in addition to its popular “Pies & Pitchers” happy hour on Fridays.

The Tinder Tuesday at “The Goat” will help fire up the love life on a budget. For $45, guests can enjoy a featured, curated cocktail and snack pairing for two people. Catch Tinder Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. weekly. The aphrodisiac spread includes a Seasonal Cocktail Carafe, which has included Aperol Spritzes and mango margaritas, plus a Shareable Meat & Cheese Board, which features an assortment of charcuterie and cheeses, as well as candied nuts, confit olives, homemade jams and grilled bread.

For music lovers, Goat Unplugged debuted Thursday, June 30. Every week, the U Street tavern will host local musicians live from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. The performers will cover a wide range of tastes, from Mark Scott to Drew Stevens, from singing classics to modern hits. The concerts are free to attend.
