DC-area bars, restaurants celebrate DC Pride

Local eateries feature special treats, beverages, charitable donations during DC Pride Month

DMV-area restaurants and bars are celebrating DC Pride with special food and drink offerings and special contributions to the LGBTQ+ community. Pizzeria Paradiso, Sidekick, Ted’s Bulletin and Kramers are among them.

Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont Circle

At the Dupont Circle location of Pizzeria Paradiso, Pride Week will be celebrated with a special Pride drink menu. From now through June 12, the restaurant will feature pours and canned beers from local, queer-owned breweries & distilleries.

The Pride Week Beer Selection is below:

  • Denizens – Critter Pale Ale
  • Denizens – Creature Double IPA
  • Red Bear Brewing – Say Queer!
  • Red Bear Brewing – 24 Karat
  • ANXO – Pride Cider (a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Human Rights Campaign)Civic Vodka – Pride Palmer
  • DC Brau – Pride Pilsner (June 10-12 with 100% of sales going to SMYAL, a non-profit serving to create opportunities for LGBTG+ you, and also the Blade Foundation, an organization whose mission is to fund LGBTQ+ journalism projects

In addition, the Dupont Circle eatery will offer a special Pride Weekend Flight during DC Pride weekend. For $14, guests can enjoy 8-ounce pours of one Denizens beer of their choice, one Red Bear Brewing beer of their choice, and ANXO’s Pride Cider. Plus, on June 11, the restaurant will offer a Pride Parade Special in honor of the return of DC’s historic Capital Pride Parade: for $10, guests can enjoy their choice of any Pride draft or can along with a shot of Civic Pride Vodka.

Sidekick Bakery

Sidekick Bakery, part of the Catalogue group of restaurants, will offer Pride-themed food and drink. Here are some of the celebratory treats:

  • The Pride Snow Day – soft serve, vanilla custard with Rainbow Sprinkles $6.00
  • Seasonal, Summer Offering Peach Mini Cake (3″) and Large cakes (8″) $12 and $45
  • Celebration Croissant – croissant filled with pride custard, garnished in sprinkles $7
  • Pride Rice Krispie – Vanilla bean rice krispie treat with marshmallow and Celebration Sprinkles $4
  • Pride Brownie – Chocolate chip gluten free brownie w/ cream cheese Frosting and Celebration Sprinkles $4

Ted’s Bulletin

All-day eatery Ted’s Bulletin, also a Catalogue restaurant, has a few specials of its own. Pride Tarts make the classic Ted’s Tart proud, with strawberry filling and pride decorations. They will be available at both the 14th Street location and Ballston for the entire month of June. Proceeds from each tart sold will go toward the DC Front Runners Pride Foundation.

Over at Kramers, enjoy a Celebration Mini Pie to celebrate Pride. During the entire the month of June, guests can purchase this sweet treat. Proceeds will go directly to The DC Front Runner Pride Run Foundation.

Also, Kramers will be hosting LGBTQ+ and gender studies focused literary events and book talks at Kramers featuring influential LGBTQ+ authors and important social discussions. Here is the schedule:
