Downtown Holiday Market returns to Washington, DC’s Penn Quarter

70 Local exhibitors will be featured, including Black- and minority-owned businesses

The popular Downtown Holiday Market returns to Washington, DC in 2021. The bazaar, operated by the DowntownDC Business Improvement District and Diverse Markets Management, starts November 19, as the holiday season kicks off. The 17th Annual Downtown Holiday Market will set up shop in Penn Quarter, covering two blocks with a worth-the-visit outdoor, winter wonderland.

Guests looking to support local businesses in the DMV will find very special gifts in the center of the District of Columbia. Continuing the tradition of the market, there are more than 70 exhibitors, including Black-owned and minority-owned businesses. Smell of Love Candles, Marcella Kriebel Art + Illustration, Sarah Nickel Ceramics, Kin & Care and Raw Blossom are just some of the holiday market’s planned businesses.

In addition, a new Macy’s STORY arrives; it’s “a curated, narrative-driven retail experience” plus local vendors that have been favorites in the past, along with a live stage of regional performers. A daily schedule will be posted on the market website.

What’s more, Kimpton Hotel Monaco DC and Dirty Habit, as the official hotel and restaurant partners, respectively, will be front and center. Two Gallery Place Metro stop entrances will make public transportation easily accessible, and many nearby garages offer appealing parking options. These are found quickly via Spot Hero on the Downtown Holiday Market’s “Getting Here” page.

Holiday Market hours: Friday, November 19 to Thursday, December 23, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The bazaar will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Monday, December 6.
