New location of hip taco chain just blocks from Nats Park
Pink Taco will make its Washington, DC debut in the Navy Yard neighborhood, just two blocks from Nats Park. In addition, the restaurant will open steps from The Yards, a 48-acre mixed-used development, replete with shopping, dining and residential living options.
The new restaurant will open at 100 M Street Southeast in the spring of 2022. The energetic taco-shop chain combines tacos and rock-and-roll vibe, dating back to 1999.
“Pink Taco’s adventurous concept and innovative, yet uncomplicated dining experience fits perfectly within the vibrant nature of the historic Navy Yard and Times Square neighborhoods,” said Stephan Schneider, Pink Taco chief operating officer.
Pink Taco will also open in New York City at 7 Times Square in the Theater District, near Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Executives plan to open the Manhattan restaurant in the fall of 2022.
The DC and Manhattan restaurants follow prominent locations in Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and Miami Beach as Pink Taco continues to expand in major markets. The company is also eyeing Europe and the Middle East, as well as coveted markets that include Lower Manhattan, Las Vegas, London, Berlin, Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, and Riyadh.
Schneider added, “As we continue to pursue aggressive growth and bring local thinking, the best farm-fresh ingredients and our hip guest experience to major entertainment markets both in the US and internationally, these new locations underscore our long-term plan for the business. We hope to bring Pink Taco’s unique style as a destination of choice all over the world.”
