Hi-Lawn has launched a new summer menu, making it easy for customers to plan an afternoon or evening at one of its picnic tables, under colorful patio umbrellas. The outdoor space on the Rooftop at Union Market continues to be one of the most spacious outdoor areas to drink, eat and socialize in the DC area, with a capacity of over 1,000 people.
Hi Lawn’s picnic-themed food
With picnic-centric fare in mind, Hi-Lawn is featuring Onion Dip & Chips, which is a Mezze Platter of dips + dippers like whipped feta, hummus, pita, pickled carrots, roasted olives and crisp cucumber; a Charcuterie + Cheese plate of “aged country ham, aged cheddar, nuts, jam, cornichons and crackers”; and a Arugula Salad dressed in mai tai vinaigrette with avocado, chevre, berries and toasted almonds.
It’s easy to fete seafood here with tasty bites from the sea, including the Brown Butter Mayo Lobster Roll spiked with shrimp, plus celeriac, lime and scallions in a split top roll; Fried Clam Strips with yum yum sauce and lemon; and Grilled Mahi Sandwich with avocado, celeriac slaw and chipotle lime aioli on a Martin’s potato roll.
