Tony and Joe’s, The Point offer seasonal dishes, celebrate Military Appreciation Month

Sister concepts from Fish & Fire Group also offer service members, veterans a discount

Fish & Fire Food Group, which operates the The Tavern at Ivy City Smokehouse, Tony & Joe’s Seafood Place, Nick’s Riverside Grill and The Point, which was recently opened in Buzzard Point in Washington is kicking off patio season in May and also celebrating National Military Appreciation Month, giving a 10% discount on all meals to active service members and veterans (with proper ID).

Tony & Joe’s Seafood Place has launched a seasonal menu. Customers can enjoy limited-time delights, including smoked honey salmon salad, with golden pineapples, cucumbers, red onion and champagne vinaigrette; a shrimp salad sandwich served will lemon dill mayo on a toasted honey grain bread; and a spicy blackened Mahi Mahi, garnished with broccoli and seared with fresh mango butter.

Meanwhile, diners at Nick’s Riverside Grill are enjoying the views and dining space after the restaurant’s restorations. Two favorite treats there are the raspberry & lemon sorbet and bourbon chocolate pecan pie.

The Point, which is Fish & Fire Food Group’s newest restaurant, quietly opened in Southwest DC a few weeks ago. Executive Chef Benjamin Lambert’s wood roasted oysters grilled with breadcrumbs, lemon and melted blue crab butter and fluffy, deep-fried crab doughnuts filled with a creamy crab dip and Chesapeake seasoning; and succulent are starting to build a reputation at the riverside restaurant. Diners can also take in the sights while enjoying Chesapeake-inspired peel and eat shrimp with a homemade cocktail sauce and juice and zest of one fresh lemon.
