Pizzeria Paradiso features women-run businesses: Women’s History Month

Cheesemonster Studio, Oozlefinch Beers + Blending, Yamrot Ezineh’s Letena Ethiopian restaurant + more collabs

At Pizzeria Paradiso, a Four Cheese Pizza will debut as part of a partnership with Cheesemonster Studio owners Kara McGrath and Alice Bergen Phillips. The featured, special pizza is a collaboration with the artisanal cheese shop in honor of Women’s History Month in March. Paradiso will also be partnering with beverage & dessert makers, including Oozlefinch Beers & Blending and others, to showcase female-run businesses.

The Four Cheese Pizza is a medley of mozzarella and three other cheeses produced by women cheesemakers: Boxcarr’s Campo, Meadow Creek Dairy’s Appalachian, and Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese’s Original Blue. Pizzeria Paradiso tops the limited-edition pizza with roasted onions, and arugula.

Ordering: Customers can opt for dine-in, carryout and delivery at all locations from March 1 to March 31, 2021. The 9” pie runs $16 and the 12” pie goes for $22.

A collection of beverage choices will also promote businesses operated by women:

  • Oozlefinch Beers & Blending’s Das Yummy Gingered Apricot Sour will be on tap at all DC Paradiso locations
  • Paradiso’s Spring Valley restaurant will offer special bottles of wine from Cork Wine Bar & Market plus a Sweet, Sweet EqualiTEA cocktail from Catoctin Creek Distillery through March 28

Pizzeria Paradiso will continue to offer Brown Butter Bourbon Bread Pudding from Toyin Alli’s Puddin’, priced at $7 for an individual portion and $28 for a family size and Pistachio and Walnut Baklava from Yamrot Ezineh’s Letena Ethiopian restaurant, pierced at $7 through March 31.

And frozen to-go meals from Hank and Mitzi’s Italian Kitchen, Ris, and Letena arrive at the Spring Valley Pizzeria Paradiso location. Each meal, available through the end of the March, serves two to four people and comes with at-home reheating instructions.
