Fast-casual burger joint to open daily
Elevation Burger has landed at the Smithsonian National Zoo. The hometown better-burger restaurant concept, which became part of the Fat Brands family of restaurants last June, debuts its new location today with a grand opening. With franchise partner Yousuf Nagaria of Capitol Concessions LLC,, the chain is well-positioned to serve both locals and tourists that visit the Zoo in the years ahead.
The fast-casual burger chain serves USDA Certified Organic, along with “100-percent grass-fed beef burgers, fresh cut French fries cooked in heart healthy olive oil, and organic, cage-free chicken,” according to an announcement. The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. daily.
“We’re thrilled to become a part of the experience that the Smithsonian’s National Zoo provides to so many families and individuals,” said Andy Wiederhorn, Fat Brands chief executive.
Fat Brands operates and franchises six other restaurant concepts: Fatburger, Buffalo’s Cafe, Buffalo’s Express, Hurricane Grill & Wings, and Yalla Mediterranean, and the Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouse chains.
