Best Buns gets bigger in DMV

New outlets expand GAR bakery chain to nine outlets

Best Buns is getting bigger (and better), according to Great American Restaurant (GAR) Group, adding new outlets across its system. Existing locations will be retrofitted with counter service to offer a variety of baked goods, including pastries and sweets, as well as savory breakfast sandwiches. GAR brands, including Artie’s, Silverado, Coastal Flats Gaithersburg, Jackson’s, Mike’s American, Ozzie’s, and, Sweetwater Tavern Sterling, Centreville, and Merrifield, will have the new counter service


On-the-go sandwiches, including Turkey Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on toasted Icebox Bread, are made easy through these new setups at key GAR locations. Starbucks coffee is brewed on the premises. For brunch, guests can start their weekend fiestas with Texas Bloody Mary or a Grand Tito’s Screwdriver with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Grand Marnier, and orange juice.

Stand-alone Best Buns cafes are located in Tysons and Shirlington. The Best Buns Bread Company in Shirlington and Best Buns Bakery & Café in Tysons are open 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. In-restaurant Best Bun locations at sister restaurants are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
