Work continues on the $150M mixed-use development known as Rockville Town Center Phase 2. It’s a joint project by Duball LLC and Daiwa Group, located just one block from the Rockville Metro and MARC Stations. When completed, the project will include 250 market-rate apartments and 150 senior housing units. The developers announced Rockville Town Center Phase 2 last spring and expect to complete it by summer of 2021.

The project also plans to add 500 parking spaces and 1,900 square-feet of retail. With few exceptions, retailers and restaurants have met a lukewarm reception at the Rockville Town Center. Some have pointed to the lack of parking and the lack of ease in walking from the Town Center to the Metro stations. Others have examined the ability of these restaurants to market within their own communities. Nevertheless, small business owners here will welcome new apartment-dwellers to the neighborhood.

We are pleased to develop this project in concert with Daiwa House Group and expect this to be the first of many projects in the partnership,” said Marc Dubick, President of Duball, LLC when the project commenced.
