He Hei Tiger offers customizable Asian-style barbecue. At the core of this delightful menu is Char Siu, a well-documented pork belly barbecue that has trended as a breakout among foodies. Additional proteins can create customizable dishes, notes the report. There’s soya chicken, smoked tofu, or Cantonese-style duck atop a choice of rice, congee, or noodle soup. Kyoto, Japan takes the credit and is the inspiration for the broth behind these bowls. Sauces, garnishes, and veggies, in addition to soy-poached eggs, further the flavor and experience of these personalized bowls.

Nathan Beauchamp, corporate chef/co-owner, and co-owner Greg Algie round out the management team of Hei Hei Tiger. The eatery will open by the end of this month or early next, suggests the report. According to Washingtonian, Ian Fletcher has been tapped to craft libations at a 20-seat cocktail bar vacated by Isabella Eatery. A cornucopia of ingredients, including teas, tonics, and herbs, pay tribute to the medicinal-drink traditions of Tiger Fork.

Expect the menu to also include specialized treats, including XO wontons and Cantonese beef noodle soup. Leave room for sweets like pineapple-bread ice cream sandwiches. Read the original news report here.
