Weekend brunch spotlights chef-centric menu from Cropf, Tighe
Trummer’s in Clifton, Va. will debuts brunch service Saturday, November 23. The American Bistro completed a renovation in October with the help of designer M.S. Vicas Interiors. The new brunch service, courtesy of Pastry Chef Meagan Tighe and Executive Chef Jon Cropf, delivers tasty new menu items. (We look forward to a visit, ourselves.)
Take, for example, the roasted chicken biscuit sliders with scrambled eggs, smoked cheddar and onion jam, and slow-roasted prime rib sandwich with fried egg. Guests can also go more traditional with smoked salmon benedict, buttermilk pancakes or a French omelet.
With advance ordering, larger groups can order whole roasts. The choices at Trummer’s include salmon, duck, porchetta, suckling pig, leg of lamb, and rib eye.
Tighe brings up the level of sweetness for brunch. Try the pastry basket or enjoy freshly-baked cornbread with whipped honey butter and strawberry jam. The cinnamon sugar beignets at Trummer’s are sure to be a hit.
Trummer’s will host a Santa brunch Sunday December 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event provides guests the opportunity to visit with Santa during their brunch. ‘Tis the season of giving and sharing, so the restaurant will be collecting donations for a local children’s hospital.
