Third GAR opening zooms in on seafood, steak experience
Randy’s Prime Seafood and Steaks restaurant plans to open July 30 at 11:30 a.m. The new opening marks the third Great American Restaurants (GAR) opening in the Tysons, Va. area this spring and summer. Patsy’s opened May 31 and the Tysons’ location of Best Buns opened May 24. Guests will be drawn to Randy’s raw bar, which will feature hand-shucked fresh oysters and local clams. Other featured dishes include Maine Lobster, Succulent Shrimp and smoked, Dutch Style Mussels.
Appetizers will spotlight many enjoyable seafood dishes including Ahi Tuna Tartare and Crispy Fried Point Judith Calamari. For a steakhouse, there’s a bounty of seafood choices. Additionally, the Branzino, with white wine, herbs, and Meyer lemon butter sounds both delicious and sinful.
The restaurant’s bread and butter—steaks—come with a choice of Truffle Butter, Great Hill Blue Cheese Butter, Béarnaise, a Red Wine Demi-Glace. Guests can also opt for Steak Sauce. Randy’s will offer sides ranging from Wild Mushrooms to Honey Roasted Rainbow Carrots, and Corn Brûlée. A “Black” Reserve Wagyu from Snake River Farms is offered in a variety of cuts, from five to 16 ounces.
Randy’s Prime Seafood and Steaks is expected to be a hit in the explosively-growing Tysons neighborhood of Northern Virginia. It will also need to compete effectively. The steakhouse is located within a stone’s throw of The Capital Grille at the intersection of International Drive and Leesburg Pike. Randy’s opens adjacent to Patsy’s on Leesburg Pike.
