The Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) has opened up nominations for the 2019 RAMMY Awards, which are being held June 30, 2019. The RAMMYS are an evening of celebration for the industry’s top entrepreneurial and culinary professionals across the Washington, D.C. region. Nominations are being accepted in several categories, with the goal of spotlighting the best of what the D.C. restaurant industry has to offer.
RAMW also announced a set of code and ethics that set parameters for nominees and those can be found on the website of The RAMMYS. To view the Awards Governance and Procedures section, navigate to www.therammys.org/awards-governance-procedures/.
“The RAMMYS have always been and continue to be a benchmark of success and a recognition of talent and hard work among our industry,” said Kathy E. Hollinger, president and CEO of RAMW, in a statement. “This year’s changes reflect the effort of RAMW, its Executive Committee, and the RAMMYS judges panel, to be more cognizant of refining the program designed to celebrate excellence.”
Nominations will be accepted in 20 categories.
The RAMMYS Awards are chosen with the help of the voting public and an anonymous panel of invited volunteer judges, consisting of food and dining journalists and foodservice industry educators. Finalists will be announced at The RAMMYS Nominations Announcement event this coming March. RAMMYS nominations will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019.
