Chiko will be spotlighting Jamie Bissonnette, the chef and owner of Coppa, Toro and Little Donkey, at its next After Dark Series evening Friday, September 28. Bissonnette is a culinary “household name.” He earned a Culinary Arts degree from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale at only 19. The early part of his storied culinary career spans major metropolises, including Paris, San Francisco, New York and Phoenix.
Bissonnette landed in Boston where he helped elevate the experience at the well-known Eastern Standard. He was chef at at the acclaimed Toro in the South End of Boston. Bissonnette also opened Italian enoteca Coppa with Ken Oringer, Toro executive chef and partner, in 2009 and was awarded Rising Star Chef by StarChefs that year.

The After Dark evening begins at 9:30 p.m. and is a walk-in event on a first-come, first-served basis. The late-night Kitchen Counter service opens at 10:30 p.m. and is by reservation. Kitchen Counter reservation holders get to enjoy dishes from the Eat the Menu tasting, along with bonus dishes from the guest chef. Chiko late-night Kitchen Counter service is $50.
